Job Post: Rotable Controller

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12 / N3

  • At least ten (10) years post post-trade test experience as an Electrician/Fitter/Diesel Mechanic

  • At least five (5) years of related experience in Warranty/Quality control

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

  • Code 8 Drivers License

  • Mining environment experience.

  • Supervisory experience

  • Excel Advanced and Microsoft Projects would be an added advantage

  • Planner and rotable store experience will be an added advantage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set and maintain high safety, health, Environmental and quality standards.

  • Maintain and control stock levels.

  • Track and report on Sub Assembly life in position.

  • Set and maintain a good business relationship between customers and suppliers.

  • Maintain and control all necessary documentation pertaining to department and audit requirements.

  • Expedite costs between suppliers and OEM.

  • Maintain and control turnaround time on repairs to critical equipment.

  • Supervise data clerks

  • Monitor Warranty claims.

  • Control budget and overtime

  • Adhere to all legal and mine Standards and procedures.

  • Responsible for the effective management of spare parts, and components required to meet operational demands

  • Play an important role in terms of procurement, visible audit trails, planning, implementation and quality assurance

  • Collaborate and communicate with Procurement and Engineer in order to strive for an optimal balance between availability, working capital and operational costs.

  • Knowledge of Mining machinery

  • Relevant SPI’s & MHSA

  • Sage Evolution

  • Knowledge of gate passes, and keeping track of mine assets (Added Advantage)
