Job Post: Underground Fitter (C Lower)

GRADE: C - LOWER

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 or N3 (Maths)

• Recognized Trade Test

• 2- 3 years underground maintenance experience

• Drivers License

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To do scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery to reduce breakdowns.

• To do scheduled preventative maintenance on conveyors to prevent breakdowns on conveyors.

• To do repairs on belt drives, tail ends and transfer points to minimise breakdowns and to meet production targets.

• To ensure that enough spares are available in the hydraulic store for machine repairs to lessen downtime.

• To rebuild machines and equipment for reuse in production.

• To monitor the oil cascading process to ensure environmental control and oil recycling purposes.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Safety Regulations
