Church Precinct Relocation Project

The local Nazareth Baptist Church, better known as Shembe Church was relocated and upgraded as part of the development of the Mngeni Shaft.

The team relocated the church further away from the mining operation to avoid disturbing congregants during their sacred time of worship.

The church will remain accessible to the community as it is still located within the Masokaneni area which falls under the Mandlakazi Tribal Council.

ZAC made provision for new land, fencing and the transportation of all items from the old church precinct to the new one.
