Job Post: Senior Foreman (D-Level)

GRADE: D - LEVEL

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least a N6 Technical Certificate or equivalent qualification or N4 with 5 years’ experience as a production Foreman in mining.

• Qualified Artisan.

• Code 08 Drivers license.

• At least 5 years relevant experience in a mining environment.

• Flameproof & gas testing certificates.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure that mine procedures and standards are adhered to in order to ensure the safety and health.

• Management of minor upgrades and improvements projects

• Cost and Financial Management in the area of responsibility

• To provide and maintain equipment to sustain production.

• Managing and development of subordinates.

• To initiate and follow-up on orders and the management of suppliers and repairers.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of underground machines and equipment

• Applicable legislation – Mine Health and Safety Act (29 of 1996)

• People and Change management

• Root Cause Analysis Principles

• Good working knowledge of maintenance strategies
